To increase the speed of an audio file by 200% using the Change Speed (ny) plugin in Audacity: 1. Open the audio file you wish to speed up in Audacity. 2. Select the audio by clicking and dragging your mouse across the waveform. 3. Go to the Effect menu, then select Change Speed (ny)... 4. In the Change Speed (ny) window, select New Speed as Percent from the Select input control dropdown menu. 5. Enter 200 in the New Speed as Percent field. 6. Select High Quality from the Stretching method dropdown menu. 7. Click OK. The audio will now be sped up by 200%.
To halve the duration of your audio with the 'New Speed as Percent' option, you will need to use the Audacity plugin 'Change Speed (ny)...'.
